Bryce returned to Wanganui and joined his father Kenneth and Murray Carey as a director of Carey Smith & Co in 1989 after gaining Audit and Taxation experience in Wellington. He’s passionate about helping private and corporate clients achieve growth and has extensive experience and knowledge of trusts and estates. Bryce is a director of the New Zealand office of the international grouping of taxation and finance specialists Rawlinson & Hunter, run in conjunction with Carey Smith since 2003. His experience in both NZ local and foreign trusts is second to none in Whanganui. He is a member of the NZ Institute of Chartered Accountants (NZICA), and has served on various committees at a regional and national level, and is also a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). Bryce is a great supporter of the local arts community and is proud the firm has sponsored the Whanganui Arts Review for many years. He enjoys tramping, and wishes he had more opportunities to ‘go bush’. He loves travel and shares Murray’s admiration for a good Central Otago Pinot Noir. |
